Where can I access current information on the Electricity Act and Regulations and the Wiring Rules?

The current Wiring Rules amendments are listed on the Standards Australia International website, and can be downloaded free of charge. You can also search for and purchase other standards if required. Access is gained through the following web address: http://www.saiglobal.com/shop/script/Search.asp Link to an external web site.

  1. In the Search box on this page, enter '3000'. This will bring up a page of all available documents related to the Wiring Rules.
  2. Click on the title of the amendment you require. Purchasing options will then be displayed.

You may need to create a free log-in account before downloading amendments.

You can also access the Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) site where you can view and download free of charge, current interpretations on some of the AS/NZS 3000 rules. The web address is: http://www.wiringrules.com.au/Link to an external web site.

How do I access the ETSA Utilities Service and Installation Rules?

From the ETSA UtilitiesLink to an external web site home page, follow the Network Information link under the Contractors and Suppliers heading, then click on Network Information for Contractors. The Service Rules can be found at the bottom of the page.
