Content: The Solar Trailer has been developed as a mobile, interactive and educational display which promotes renewable energy and energy efficiency actions. Whilst supervision is preferred, the trailer has been designed to operate effectively in a stand-alone mode.

Application: The sample kit provides a touch and feel box of energy efficient materials that can be used to improve a building's energy efficiency performance. Also included are information brochures that provide a background to energy efficiency principles. This neat compact kit compliments projects that include designing and building and energy efficient house.

Suitability: 12 years and over

Application: This model simulates the sun's effect on building design as it moves through various seasons of the year. Observe the sun shadows noting how important passive solar principles are to building design. Bring in your own house model and measure it's environmental performance! This model compliments projects that involve designing and constructing an energy efficient building.

Eco-tude This link opens up in a new window is a calculator that can be used to help understand your schools environmental footprint. The audit toolkit helps to identify, measure and calculate your schools energy, waste and water usage. You can even register your results!
